NES (Nestin) is an intermediate filament protein expressed in neural stem cells and progenitor cells during development. It provides structural support and contributes to cytoskeletal organization, making it a widely used marker for identifying stem and progenitor cell populations. Researchers often rely on a NES antibody for studies in developmental biology and regenerative medicine.
In addition to the nervous system, NES is expressed in other progenitor cell types and is re-expressed in certain pathological conditions, including cancer and tissue injury. Its dynamic regulation reflects cellular plasticity and proliferation. Employing a NES antibody enables the detection of stem cell populations and the study of disease-associated re-expression.
NSJ Bioreagents provides a high-quality NES antibody validated for immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and western blot. Using a NES antibody ensures sensitive and reproducible detection in research focused on stem cells, neurobiology, and pathology.
Optimal dilution of the NES antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A peptide sequence specific to Nestin protein was used as the immunogen for the NES antibody.
After reconstitution, the NES antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
