Description

Zebrafish Hmgb1 (High mobility group box 1) is a non-histone chromatin-binding protein that regulates DNA architecture and gene transcription. It functions in nucleosome stability, DNA repair, and transcriptional regulation by bending DNA and facilitating interactions with other proteins. Zebrafish have two isoforms, Hmgb1a and Hmgb1b, which share structural similarity but may have distinct expression patterns during development.

Beyond its nuclear role, Hmgb1 can act as an extracellular signaling molecule involved in inflammation, immune responses, and tissue repair. After reconstitution, the Zebrafish Hmgb1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
