IST1 homolog, also called CHMP8 and Charged multivesicular body protein 8, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IST1 gene. This gene encodes a protein with MIT-interacting motifs that interacts with components of endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRT). ESCRT functions in vesicle budding, such as that which occurs during membrane abscission in cytokinesis. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 19. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
Optimal dilution of the IST1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.
An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (amino acids E31-D331) was used as the immunogen for the IST1 antibody.
After reconstitution, the IST1 Antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
