Description

Inhibitor of growth protein 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ING5 gene. This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis. This protein contains a PHD-type zinc finger. It interacts with tumor suppressor p53 and p300, a component of the histone acetyl transferase complex, suggesting a role in transcriptional regulation. Alternative splicing and the use of multiple promoters and 3' terminal exons results in multiple transcript variants.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the ING5 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (amino acids K38-K82) was used as the immunogen for the ING5 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the ING5 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
