Description

Small RNA 2'-O-methyltransferase/HENMT1 is a methyltransferase that adds a 2'-O-methyl group at the 3'-end of piRNAs, a class of 24 to 30 nucleotide RNAs that are generated by a Dicer-independent mechanism and are primarily derived from transposons and other repeated sequence elements. This probably protects the 3'-end of piRNAs from uridylation activity and subsequent degradation. Stabilization of piRNAs is essential for gametogenesis.

Optimal dilution of the HENMT1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (amino acids Q45-D388) was used as the immunogen for the HENMT1 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the HENMT1 Antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
