Clu antibody detects Clusterin, encoded by the CLU gene. Clusterin is a secreted glycoprotein with diverse functions in lipid transport, apoptosis, and complement regulation. Also known as apolipoprotein J, Clusterin has been studied extensively in neurodegeneration, cancer, and reproductive biology.
